Save the date & start developing those winning design plans for the 5th Annual Kendall Auto SOAPBOX DERBY on September 12th, 2026, at River’s Edge Golf Course! This year’s event information, including building requirements, registration forms, and sponsorship information, is now available at kendallcares.com. The Kendall Auto Soapbox Derby is one of Kendall Central Oregon’s largest signature events, designed to give back to our community while creating a memorable and impactful experience for the participants and spectators. This year, we are beyond excited to host the 5th Annual event, powered by a course with more obstacles, more speed, and activities for all ages.

The Kendall Auto Soapbox Derby is scored by the performance of motorless cars, with time deductions for hitting features and ramps generously donated by Kirby Nagelhout Construction, and the design and creativity. Each year, the themes get bigger, better, and bolder, such as Mario Kart, Toy Story, and beyond. To ensure your car stands out this year, lean into your theme and make sure your Soapbox can withstand the turns, jumps, and obstacles that may be in your way!

Kendall Auto Group is proud to support our local nonprofit organizations through this event, with $10,000 split between the top three teams for you and your chosen nonprofit. In 2025, beneficiaries included the Ronald McDonald House, Street Dog Hero, and Every Kid Sports. If you are considering entering a Soapbox Car in this year’s race, identify what community organizations and resources are most important to you for an opportunity to give back to their mission.

Information on building requirements and event details, including a link to registration, is available now if your team is ready to sign up! Please visit kendallcares.com and get ready for another unforgettable Soapbox Derby on September 12th, 2026.
